Virtual Triage Assistant (VTA)
We built a Triage Assistant сhatbot that supports the triage nurse in handling patient triage. The chatbot can identify protocols based on patients’ input and conduct all the triage activities. This solution refines itself by reviewing representative data.
There are 3 distinct modes in which VTA can operate:
- Hidden Mode. VTA operates in the background along with triage nurses, making its own independent selections. The machine learning team carefully reviews the deviations and adjusts or trains the engine based on actual events.
- Supervision Mode. VTA conducts triage under constant supervision of the triage nurse who is ready to take over at any point.
- Full Operational Mode. The system is capable of working independently but can switch to supervision mode automatically in cases where a chief complaint indicates any life-threatening conditions.
