Challenge

Mango needed to demonstrate technology readiness for additional funding, but didn't have the internal expertise to augment their hardware capabilities with ML and cloud architecture.  

Proxet was brought on as a partner with proven capability in advanced Machine Learning, Cloud, and Data Management to develop a commercial grade solution for Mango’s next phase of growth.

Solution

Design, build, and implement a cloud based platform that would be able to support Mango’s current hardware and samples. Develop storage environment for gigapixel+ reconstructed Images, allowing for efficient retrieval and compartmentalization. Evaluate Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision ML/AI/CV to:

• Detect Microorganisms.
• Produce analysis results (contamination detected / not detected)
• Enumerate organism microcolonies

Outcome

• Accelerated Mango’s time to market for “leveling  up” technical capabilities, meeting deadlines set by investors securing funding for a wider hardware buildout.
• Enabled cloud based ML capabilities in an otherwise analog machinery.
• A Super resolution Reconstruction Algorithm was developed allowing for extraordinary large images to be processed and reviewed for detection and analysis.
• Devised Role and Permission Control - GUI implementation and integration with hardware device to adjust for access and risk mediation.
